my van runs fine but sometimes the EDC light comes on i loose all power the van then stops there is no warning this is going to happen it can be at roundabouts on junctions or even when i am just going down the road as soon as it happens if i remove the key an restart van it goes on as if nothing has happened until it does it again ! i feel the van is not safe to drive so any ideas would be wellcome

I have been after a decent Vito for ages and found one 4 years ago with genuine low mileage and has been great until late last year, First I had an issue with limp mode (not me the vito ) eventually sorted that and now last night on my way to work I had exactly the same problem as you have described above. The only thing that you didnt mention that happened to me was recently I have had an issue with the brake warning light coming on and going off sometimes 10+ times a day sometimes nothing for days this is next to the EDC warning light on dash display even though the brakes have been inspected without faults found.
