Mercedes 220CDI - Synergy Manchester - hoveguy

Hello, A WARNING to anyone who deals with Synergy Manchester the site is a scam. I lost £1975 last week. I was promised a car lease deal with a Mercedes C Class 220CDi. I transferred the money to Synergy as I had been dealing with a guy called James Morgan. I received an official order form and I now find the company is in Liquidation. According to Insolvency this company is not in Liquidation, it is run by a guy called ABDUAL QUDDAS and he has not made himself bankrupt it is all a SCAM. Insolvency say they cannot do anything. I have told Consumer Direct, they weren't particularly helpful. You cannot speak to Trading Standards as you have to go through Consumer Direct. Insolvency know all about this guy a number of people have got caught out like me, but nothing seems to be done. He will no doubt set up another professional looking website and start again. I have filled in an actioncrime report but have heard nothing.

suggest you add your post to the current BMW X5 Credit Hire thread to keep the whole sorry tale together, the more information in one thread the better for all concerned.

It seems many have been sucked in by the offers.

@AVANT or other moderator.

Would it be an idea to retitle the subject thread title, the BMW X5 one, obviously these other posters haven't twigged that there is a thread about these shysters already running, understandable, i'd be livid too if i'd had me pants pulled down by a bunch of con men.

I also put up a £1795 deposit on 10/05/12 for an Audi A3 which was due to be delivered on 17/05/12. I checked the website for Synergy Manchester on 16/05/12 and it said the had gone into liquidation and was no longer trading. It was paid by BACS so I have his bank account no & sort code, but still nobody seems to be able to do anything.
I was also dealing with a James Morgan, and have been told that Abdul Quddas is behind the operation.
Surely there is something that can be done!?! I have contacted the police but they say they cant call it a crime yet.
I had considered a commercial bailiff or even private investigator?
I got referred on to the company originally by www.leaseyournextcar.com, and they sounded as surprised as I was that the company was in liquidation. However they told me that leaseyournextcar were being paid £100 for each customer they referred on that ended in a sale.
Want to get my money back but more importantly get the bloke locked up... Any ideas on where to go next?
Thanks, Joel Randoll

I've retitled the other thread: as suggested please use the thread starting BMW X5 to keep all this together. HJ is aware of this issue.
