206 1.6 hdi 110 - Dual Mass Flywheel Gone? - Deedee85

Just wondering if anybody knows if there should be any play on the clutch plate when twisted? I'm in the middle of changing the clutch on my 206 (not recommended to anybody btw) and the actual clutch plate has about 3-4 inches of movement on it where it's attached to the flywheel. I know the flywheel has springs in it, but I have no idea how tight they're supposed to be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

I haven't changed one - yet, but I suspect that it shouldn't have that ammount of movement on it. I would be inclined to change it for a solid one as you have it out, you won't have to worry about it again.

Suggested "play" should be between 15-30mm rotational and max 2mm rock between inner and outer masses.hth
