Could some one please help by providing a diagram link or explaination of the colour codes for the black radio plug with the power etc. I am baffled as there seems to be three permanent lives but when plugged straight in there is no memory. I enquired about a after marked loom but I am told my radio should just plug straight in. For now I have taken a wire from the central locking fuse ( just like from the battery) and the radio is permanently on so must be turned off to not drain the battery.

The original peugeot radio would have been switched on via the can network,so there is only a permanant power supply. When fitting an aftermarket radio,I would suggest wiring an independent power plug to incorporate a battery supply wire and an aux supply from ign switch feed to fuse box.hth

Thanks for the reply but what is the 'can network' Also what you suggest is a bit of a hassle for me, seems a bit complex. I have fitted radios in every car I've had without too much hassle until now. it would help if I knew what wires were what. here is a discription of them

Top Row - Grey (live), Green, White (live), Empty

Bottom row - Yellow/green (that's earth), Empty, Light Grey, Red (live)

The lives and the other wires don't change their state whether the ignition is on or off

I have put the permanent live from the central locking fuse to where the light grey wire is on the bottom row. Hope this makes sense. What I want to know is what each wires function is?
