Peugeot 106 - wont Start after bump - NoseyParker81

My 106 had a bump, sat for while whilst I fixed it and now it wont start, all i could here was the starter clicking, so I hit that to see if it was stuck, not the clikcing stopped and but i cant here the fuel pump priming up. I have pressed the big red reset button lots but to no avail. Any ideas please?

Is your battery fully charged and in good condition?

its not in good condition, no, but will power the lights, but the engine wont even turn over, not even a hint of it.

could be the starter motor has siezed on. Not that unusual on older cars

if so leave the car in3rd, ignition off, and just try to push/ move it a little, just enough to move the transmission/engine/starter.

Try to start normally.

On some cars there was a large nut on the end of the starter that you could try to turn if you had this problem, but Im probably showing my age.

That means very little, the lights may well work, but when you hit the battery with starter motor current the voltage just collapses, I,d say this is the problem
