so...an update on my first post of 2 years ago....still havent been paid out on my claim, lambo was stolen, police not happy with the provenance of the car, even though it was bought from a big london dealership that specialises in exotica, the police believe that the car is cloned but havent provided any further details, though have passed all this info to the insurance company, the insurance company have gone quiet, they dont reply to my calls nor my letters and emails. ive followed the procedures layed down by the FOS,sent formal complaint letter, waited 60 days for reply etc etc... and it is now with the FOS for consideration. At this early stage the FOS have requested the details of the claim from the insurance, who have chosen to not reply. The FOS have now told the insurance to send them the claim and their notes ( this incurs a £500 fee by the insurance co)....
question. have any of your contributors come across such an example as this before? an insurance company just sitting tight and hoping that?..what, i'll go away?,or that there is a strategy in play here that i dont see or cant fathom?...thats certainly true!!.
the insurance company has wriggled and misled and claimed that its being diligent etc, of course we would all expect that, shake out the fake claims and so on,but ive heard nothing for almost 7 months now...silence isn golden, for them anyway. what might the FOS do next ?
