On starting the fiesta after 8 days of non use, my wife said ther was a loud bang and smoke from under the edges of the bonnet. No visible damage or burns etc so don`t know if it is fuel or electrical. I heard it and thought it sounded like an electrical event.

Called Ford who said call this no>>> it was the AA (working for them on breakdowns)

Fiesta is 6 m old and 7K on clock - no issues. Callled AA and he checked then started the car ok albeit sounded alittle hesitant, AA said could be too much fuel due to a short start and stop on drive etc and then left??? (no we did not do this) AA said Jags had a problem like this??? AA left and the car was road tested ok and all things appear to work Elect/mech etc.

Called Ford who said did not like AA answer to issue and if it went again to call AA to transport to them WE are concerned?? #Ford also said that he(Ford man). only knew of two similar issues but the bang and smoke was every time the car was started and was head gasket??

Asked Ford if they would test they said too much work involved for too little info on cause.

Any ideas to assist.
