1st MOT on 2009 car. My car has failed its 1st MOT as the front shock absorber needs replacing. How can a new car, with 30,000 on the clock need new shock absorber? I have never had to replace shock absorbers on previous cars and the first car i owned was 10 years old! The warranty runs out in 3 days, any advice would be great.
It's not a new car, it's a Citroen half way through it's warranty. Another 30k it'll need a new wiring loom, 50 window regulators, 3 turbos, a clutch, DMF, 6 wheel bearings and another 2 sets of shocks. You'll also have to visit the dealer to get the DPF unclogged on a monthly basis. If you're lucky, and going by my collegue's 2010 C5.
Advice? Trade the thing in and buy a real car.
