I noticed a picture in the press the other day of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent in a very smart new Mondeo estate - with the 130tdci and 5 speed auto it seems like the estate car of choice to me.
Admittedly not very british either but it does have a nice "man of the people" feel to it.

Don't they put most of the Royals and important government people in unassuming cars like Mondeos and Omegas so they don't stand out?
I mean, who's going to look twice at a Mondeo on the hard shoulder with the bonnet up? :-)
