Ford Focus 1.6lx Estate - Would the mileage put you off - barone

Hi

I am looking for a new (bigger) car and a s a new driver I have been looking at a focus estate 1.6 lx 2001 as the insurance group is low and within reach. ONly concern I have is the mileage at just over 130k but it does have full service history (with approved ford dealer) would this put you off as it ticks all boxes and drives lovely?

Thanks for any advise

A very tough question.

This is after all a very old car, I cant therefore claim to be able to answer fully, but havign had a Focus more or less the same as this I would say the following :-

They are pretty robust engines and they are also geared quite tall so motorways dont kill them. If the car drives nicely doesn't smoke when its warm, and the clutch feels okay it is worth a punt as long as its cheap and has a reasoinable MOT. I suggest you gowith the attitude 'anything more than a years use is a bonus'.
