Volvo 850T5 central locking remote - volvoman
Hi Chaps/Chapesses, my brother's 850T5's r/c key fob is playing up. Is it a case of change the battery (there's no obvious way of opening the unit) or something more complicated ?

BTW the only markings on it are:

Metra System V - M100RC.

Any thoughts anyone?

I sold my 850 last year, but from memory my problem with the remote was solved by a new battery and re-synch with the transponder. Handbook explains how to do this, but basically once the new battery is fitted you turn the ignition on/off six times within a specified time and "bobs your uncle" as it were....check the handbook - just in case your model is different.
