My 'new' car is a Mk 1 (2004 model) Seat Leon 1.9 TDI FR 150hp, 1 owner, 52k miles and FSH.
I decided to buy an older diesel to avoid problems with DPFs and the later piezo injectors fitted to VAG diesels. The 1.9TDI also seems to be a fairly fuel-efficient diesel.
Does anyone on here know what problems are likely with this engine/model, any preventative maintenance to prevent problems, etc as I'm conscious the car is 7 years old already and I've never bought a car this old before?
Also, the car does not feel any faster than my old (but remapped) Focus 1.8 TDCi 115hp. I'm considering a rolling road session to see if the power is where it should be...
Thanks in advance for any advice / experience!
Ben
