hi hoping some one can help here

i have a 2000 focus 2 ltr petrol had it about 8 months it has 194000 on the clock while i have owned it it has only done short journeys with no problems

today i have took it up the motorway at about 80 mph for 40 miles or so when it suddenly started holding back at 3000 rpm then got worse i also noticed the temp gauge had dropped to zero

checked water and oil all ok set off again running fine temp gauge normal for about 10 mins then temp gauge dropped and s*** running ticks over fine just no acceleration feels like its running out of fuel

parked up over night this morning absolutley fine no probs at all got on motorway same thing happend any ideas before i start spending money trying to fix it would be greatley appriciated thanks
