Was at Woburn Safari Park today test-driving (I know, I know – I spend my life test-driving but not purchasing ...) the Hyundai i40 Tourer. It's pretty damn fine in fact (well, the the 1.7 CRDI 136PS Premium auto variant was to my mind) – although I obviously couldn't put it through it's paces whilst inching round the lion enclosure, etc. – so will doubtless follow today up with a normal 'on-road' test-drive once they hit the dealers (Sept).
However, I digress ...
... what they did have on display (static – not for driving) was an example of the aforementioned. I'd never heard of it before today but notice that HJ already has it featured in his (forthcoming) review section.
What an eye-catching bit of kit it is in the flesh (I'd download half a dozen pics if I knew how). The single rear-door configuration seems whacky but works? General body styling seems to be an amalgam of the new shape Megane/Astra/Scirocco with a drizzle of Alfa thrown in for good measure.
Hyundai – new thinking, new possibilities indeed!
