Hi. Firstly are you sure its overheating? coolant loss from the header tank can be caused by a leaking head gasket. What it the temperature gauge reading? If it is overheating and the fan is not coming one the problem will be in the fan control circuit, possibly the sensor, it could of course be a faulty fan motor.

Hi.

Are you sure the head hasket hasn't gone??..if certain, it could be the temp sensor switch, try removing it and giving it a clean or just renew.

Check for a creamy substance under the oil filler cap and in the water itself.

get back to us when you have done these checks.

Pop to your local garage and have them check the header tank for combustion gases. This will either rule the HG out or confirm a problem. Regards Peter
