Time heals, the annoying Nissan Cashcow ad has gone. I was miffed at getting about 12 popups from RSPB (the ones who won't admit that magpies and birds of prey eat songbird). But I read it and filled in a data form and today....................it arrived. A CD of 30 'Sounds of Garden Birds', including my favourites:- Wren (such a beautiful song from one so wee) and Song Thrush. Popped it in the car CD player today, selected 'random'. Marvellous. The covering letter had much propoganda though, the success of the reintroduced Red Kite, a hell of a bird. Big and beautiful. But apparently they live on "carrion and worms". Yeah right.
