PCN Completion by Serving Officer - CKPhilosopher

Anyone know exactly what areas of a PCN require completion by a CEO, or serving official? I've heard that he/she needs to write their signature and write in the info box on the envelope that the PCN is delivered in.

If these two areas are not completed by the CEO then PCN invalid, so I hear.

Any advice?

They just need a record of the event which can be on a ticket or in an electroing device which identifies them as the officer. All the ticket needs to do is identify the officer, the vehicle and the time, date and location and nature of the infringement. There is no set requirement as to the stationery

Schedule to The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007, Para 1 and 2 stipulates what must be contained in a PCN and signature and details of CEO are not included.
