opel astra G 20 Diesel year 1999 - engine cuts out on cold - Tag

cananyone tell me anything on this subject

on cold the engine starts fine but on idle the engine fault light comes on and there is a lack of power the rev counter drops, after warm up its fine runs perfect , i have been told it is the fuel pump o its way out , this problem seems to be getting worse

I'm not familier with this engine but if its common rail it could possibly be the fuel pump but if its an IDI I doubt it.

i have read a lo of forum on simular problems and found that it could be a split vacuam hose, maybe the one connected to the turbo

can anyone shed some more light on this
