Vauxhall Signum CDTi 3.0 V6 Automatic - Transmission judder. - Sabreman

Rare intermittent fault - judder or 'rounded' vibration which is neither speed, gear, road surface or wheel balance related. Tyres are new and properly balanced but problem continues. There is nothing coming back through the steering wheel and it feels as if it eminates from the auto box. The classic CVJ clonking on full lock is not apparent. Any ideas please.
