Had a similar problem with my Spanish Berlingo, it was the button within the remote sticking, pop the remote apart and see if the buttons are encrusted in crud.

Hi,

You will probably find the linkage on the back of the drivers door lock is worn and causing a type of rebound back to the locking position. Take the door pad off and see if its loose/ floppy. You may need to invest in some new linkage.

Hope this helps
