I HAVE A 56 RAV4 DIESEL MANUAL THAT HAS COVERED 43,000MILES - I HAVE NOTICED PARTICULARLY FIRST THING IN THE MORNING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM CHANGING GEAR - IF IT IS VERY COLD THE GEAR LEVER IS VERY STIFF UNTIL THE CAR IS MOVING & THE OIL WARMS UP - WHEN YOU CHANGE GEAR PARTICULARLY WHEN CHANGING FROM 1st TO 2nd GEAR IT SOMETIMES GRAUNCHES - THE MAIN DEALER WHO SUPPLIED IT IN NOVEMBER IS TAKING IT IN OVERNIGHT NEXT WEEK BUT I AM NOT CONFIDENT THAT HE WILL 'FIND' ANYTHING - HE ALSO SAYS THEY CHANGED FROM FULLY SYNTHETIC SHELL GEAR OIL TO A NON SYNTHETIC ONE TOYOTA RECOMEND AS SHELL SYNTHETIC WAS CAUSING PROBLEMS!
