Vauxhall Astra - Brake lights - graham3232

This is a note to all drivers of 10 reg Astras. I have been behind a few at lights and junctions and have noticed the brake lights flickering. It only seems to be 10 reg models.

I assume its a faulty switch, so just to let anyone who drives one to check your lights as they will be under warranty and most drivers would never otherwise notice.

Interesting observation.Vauxhall do have a problem with the brake switch on these late model astras.(may even be subject of a recall).The brake switch is not in fact a switch as we know it,it is a variable position switch(potentiometer)and signals various electronic modules on the car.hth
