Garage flooring - Asphalt for a garage floor - Ian91

I have a cocrete garage floor that has worn quite badly and it has been sugested to use an asphalt covering to level floor and provide a dust free surface.

Has anyone experience of using an asphalt floor particularly in their garage, it is a hard surface, not the type used on the roads.

Had a house once with polished asphalt floor - good, hard wearing and no damp problems. Not sure how well it would cope with oil drips and such.
