Peugeot 407 - Seat comfort in family car - Janpan
I have had a frustrating month of car shopping, now that my three year old Peugeot 407sw has to return to the lease company. I cannot find a new car that combines reasonable rear legroom with comfortable enough seats for the adults in the front. The skoda superb and mazda 6 are too firm, the skoda has uncomfortable ridged edges on the front seats. Why is there a move to this kind of firm seating? I'm going to buy my 407 and wait to see if the new 508 has retained some French comfort! Is it just me?

Blimey, if you think the seats in a Mazda 6 are firm (I don't). Then don't go near any BMW's or VAG car as they are much firmer. Each to their own I suppose. My car seat has to have lumbar adjustment otherwise I get backache over a long journey. I like many other drivers hate soft squishy seats a la french cars, which is also why they have become less popular.
