Volvo V70 SE 2002 - Air Conditioning Problem - ChiMan

The air con on my Volvo is making some strange 'gurgling noises'. It sounds like air in the system. The dealer says that it may need to be 're-gassed' and I have booked it in for two days. Do these systems usually give problems? I have only owned the car for a few weeks and have yet to cover a 1000 miles. I hope that the Volvo warranty will cover whatever the problem may be.

Does anyone have some thoughts on this or past experience please?

The noises you are having could certainly be caused by inadequate gas in the a/c system.I would suspect the system may have a leak,and very likely to be the condenser rad at the front.This seems to be the main problem area on this model.hth

Hi Thanks for your advice. I left the car for a few days and upon my return, hey presto! Things were back to normal and all is now quiet once more? I cancelled the garage and shall wait to see what transpires.
