Ford Fusion 2 (Durashift) - ECU and/or activation motor failure - LucyBC

If the ECU and/or activation motors fail on the above model is it likely to be a sudden or instant occurrence or does it take place over a period of time?

If it does take place over a period of time can someone advise what the symptoms of the impending failure would be?

Ford Fusion 2 (Durashift) - ECU and/or activation motor failure - injection doc

Failure would most likley be instant with an ECU, rarley do they suffer with an impending fault. Mostly a driver will suddenly fail/burn-out or suffer with a dry joint.

Solonoids/activation motors unless sticking ( if inside an autobox) normally just suddenly fail.

More common is the wiring inside an autobox to fail from deteriation
