OK
What's the last actual motoring-related educational message that anyone can remember see coming out of official sources?

"Speed kills" and "Kill your speed not a child" do not count.
education education education - Toad, of Toad Hall.
"Think Bike."

These are my own opinions, and not necessarily those of all Toads.

Can I call a TV and official source?

Always remember the Green Cross Code.

All I can remember is those sideburns and flares Alvin Stardust was wearing.

Police Camera Action and all it's clones. "It's cool to drive like a prat" is the message the young seem to have taken deeply to heart.

the car with a glass of water on the bonnet with advice to drive as if you won't spill any of the water by exuberant driving.

In "The Wages of Fear" original B & W version this was how they selected drivers to transport 2 tons of Nitroglycerine in the wilds of South America.

If you want to save petrol you can wind your WW2 ambulance up sand dunes with the starting handle.

You might need to stiffen your upper lip a bit though.

The nurse can help with that.

IIRC also introduced the term feche-feche to the British Motoring Public.

From what I hear about Yookside road maintenance standards, it might be time it made a comeback.

There's concerted drink-drive campaigning every Christmas - across tv, radio, social media etc.

They could save some money, and lives, by making the drink-drive limit zero, as there is absolutely no one who knows how much can safely be drunk and still get behind a wheel.

Is this the education as in the BIG queues I see forming for IAM and Rospa guidance?

Rear seat belt ad (you know the one where sonny kills his mum and has a broken nose to boot)

"Clunk Click Every Trip" (Jimmy Saville...use your seatbelts)
"Fancy a Jar - Forget the Car" (Don't drink and drive message)
"Let the Train Take the Strain" (Jimmy Saville...use the train instead of being stuck in the car in a traffic jam).

In a car chase scene, if the bad guys have, say:-

a Merc (bad guys really do have Mercs),

a Jag (bad guys really do have Jags, though not so often)

and a Ford Grenada with a smoky exhaust (bad guys don't really have Ford Granada's with smoky exhausts)

its probably the Ford Granada with the smoky exhaust which is going over the edge of a cliff in a quarry and exploding.

The Avengers. pretty much every episode.

Motoring connection?

Source?

Clearly fictional, however.

There's no gentle way to put this.

EVERYONE is expendable and WILL die.

Yellow and blue jerseys don't phase The Reepa.

We could appreciate the return of one Reginald Molehusband. The standard of parking is appalling. I realise that vehicle are larger and car parking spaces are the same size so all the more reason to be careful and considerate. Never a traffic warden around when this happens. On construction sites and offices the parking was required to be 'Back in- Front out'. Purely for safety reasons as it is a sight easier to assess situations looking face on. Should be compulsory in all parking situations where reversing out would be clearly a risk. That would sort out the people who can park from the people who cannot.

Cheers Concrete

Oh yeh. Must work on my 70's US jive.

OTOH, who knows the metaphysics involved in the passage from life to death conveyed by sinister allegorical figures?

Seems like a phase tranition could be in there somewhere, and a defendable descriptive term, if one was so inclined.

On a more prosaic technical note, your jumper jive wont work in black and white, which forms the bulk of our temporal televisual context.

Terry Pratchett seemed to be well up on that sort of thing.

No motoring connection but Red Jumper wearer longevity source is from Star Trek. If you beamed down to a new planet wearing a red jumper your life expectancy could be measured in minutes!

Old Trek, yes, TNG-era Trek no (the shirts were swapped colours so the security officers wore yellow/gold). I still like the Scotty meme I use for my Disqus handle: "Laddie, you're speaking to the only guy in a red shirt who isn't dead". Still raises a chuckle from me.
