Toyota RAV4 - Toad immobillisers - lmh0811

Need help! my M reg Rav4 doors froze during last weeks cold weather now can't lock or unlock doors using key.doors still lock using keyfob though but more importantly after driving half a mile down road engine cut out and wont start. all lights on dash still come on but nothing happens when key is turned fully over in ignition not even a clicking, is this the immobiliser and if so how do i overcome it, preferably without stripping all wires out as car is parked at shop car park at mo.

I would suggest a bit more investigation is required before condemning the immobiliser.If it does turn out to be faulty,then it is not a massive job to remove.hth

After more investigation found a 20A fuse AM2 had blown, replaced fuse but when key put in ignition and turn on fuse blew immediately.but cant seem to find what this fuse is for.

If you bothered to do a simple search (as I did in 10 secs) you would find the AM2 fuse controls the ignition circuit..

Thats great now i know what it does how do i find out why its blowing and fix problem, as you've probably guessed i'm not good with electrical things but can't afford to pay some1 to do it for me,
