Dear all,
Display started showing CHECK INJECTION fault at the weekend then started to struggle with ignition when cold. Fine when warm starting and also drives fine.
Booked it into a garage but really strugggled to start it that day -after maybe 8 or more efforts the battery ran down, so needed to bel jump-started.
The Renault Dealership in Luxembourg (we moved here 3 months back) diagnosed it as needing 4 new INJECTORS (full set) and bits that go with them for 1900 Euros !
The car cost us £3300 just 3 years back so unless I can get a better quote over the border or a better diagnosis then may even have to give up on the car.
Have since seen a forum which mentioned this fault and solving it with a set of glowplugs - I don't know much about cars - are they conning me?
Any help much appreciated as I left it at the dealer until I can find somewhere else to take it or make some decision. My wife is also due to give birth this week!
Thanks,
John (formerly from cheap Derbyshire, now expensive Luxembourg)
