2010 Seat Leon 1.4 TSI Sport - Windows open by themselves! - Stebbil

Hi there

This morning I got up to find all the windows on my car were down. It has been drizzling throughout the night so everything inside is now wet!

Anyone heard of windows opening automatically? There is no "window open" button on my fob, so it cant be that. With more bad weather forecasted, the last thing I need is a brand new car open to the elements!

Just spoke to Seat Servicing....

They said that if someone or something had leant on the key fob for a considerable amount of time it can unlock everything and bring the windows down! Has anyone ever heard of this?

I got them to make a note on my file, so that if it happens again and gets nicked that I have got a claim it is a fault then enabled someone to steal my car.

In the meantime they told me to keep an eye on it and bring it in if it happens again. Not exactly reassuring!

It's available on a number of cars-it's called "global opening";useful in very hot countries to cool car before you get in.Should also be "global closing" as well where all windows can be closed from the key fob or key as well.
