Renault Megane II - 2007 megane 1.5dci, possible bsi unit fault? - perky555

Last week my wifes megane's radio stopped working, i finally got round to checking the fuses on the weekend, but all were fine. I noticed that the centre dash display back light doesnt go out, its been staying on all nite and day. Im wondering if its the bsi unit thats at fault? Any ideas?

Some Renault models are having problems with their radios when outside temps are very low.Possibly a related fault.May be worth a call to main dealer.hth

I thought it may have something to do with the weather as it started when Wales hit -18'C the other week. But then thought Nah thats just coincidence.

But still doesnt work during the day when the temp is just over freezing.

Also noticed that the instrument clusters back lights are not working, all these faults must be related as they have started at the same time.

sorted it now, it was indeed due to the cold weather, a friend who works for Renault told me it was a fault and to unplug the radio and refit it. Hey presto!! problem gone !
