A6 Avant Avant 2005 Quattro 3.0 TDI - Clutch Problems - domshaw

I had the car at 37k miles from an Audi Dealer. I reported problems with the clutch sticking at my first or second service, but nothing was found during the inspection. The clutch failed completely at 55k and was replaced by an Audi garage. 30k miles later the same thing has happened and despite me explaining the history and asking for Audi to look at the root cause, the only answer I got was "it's wear and tear", which presumably implies that I don't drive it properly. I've looked at the forums here and can see my experience is not unique... I paid £1,800 for each clutch - anyone know how I should go about making a claim against the garage or Audi themselves?

Thanks,

Dom

You don't say how long you have had it but it is very doubtful you have a claim against the supplying garage two clutches on.

If there could be shown to be an inherent fault then you may be more lucky with Audi but there is no particular error noted in the model and its a five year old car. My guess is you are going to end up paying this yourself.
