VW Golf - 2010 or 2011? - Dibbs

I have had a new Golf on order since July that was due in early October. This has been delayed and delayedfor a number of reasons, but I have at last had a call to say it has now been build and should be available around the 15th December.

Now i have waited this long should I ask them to keep it until January (it is already protected from the vat increase) I know it will still be a 60 reg but is there any advantage in it being a 2011 60 rather than a 2010?

How long do you intend to keep the car?

Changing in 12/24 months will affect the value as a 2011 car is worth more than a 2010 car.

If you intend to keep the car for 6/7 years condition will affect the price more than the reg date.

Given the choice, ( and no increase in VAT) I'd wait the 2 weeks, even if you take delivery and have the car sitting in your garage.
