Hello,
I am wondering if you can offer some advice.
I had a 2008 Pug 207 GTi with 12000 miles on the clock. Approximately 4 weeks ago I noticed an oil leak on the drive way not specs but alot of oil in fact the oil puddle was as wide as the car. This happened on a Saturday it went into Pug on the Monday and they had it for 10-12 days. I picked the car up and they told me they had changed seals and had the engine bay apart. Less than 48 hours later the car was on fire, not badly on fire ECU is melted and various parts of plastic in the engine bay. I have obviously told my insurance who are in talks with Pug.
My question is will this be a write off? Can I refuse the car back as I wil not drive the car I don't trust the workmanship and don't want the car setting on fire again? To be honest I dont want the car back now.
Insurance have asked for V5, copy of driving licesne, service history and keys etc.
Thanks for the help
Tim
Also I have 10 year NCD and that is protected will my insurance rocket now?
