I have received a Notice to Owner for an alleged parking offence.
I remember the day of the alleged offence well and the road that it occured, the vehicle in question was a 7.5 tonne which is 32 feet long and 8'3" wide and I was driving it.
As the vehicle in question is quite long and wide and the road in question was a back street with cars parked either side I pulled over to the left to let an oncomming vehicle past, I also let a Grey coloured people carrier past with two traffic wardens through at the same time, I then continued on my journey.
More than a month later I received a Notice to Owner from Lambeth Parking Services stating Contravention Code and Description: 26E vehicle was parked more than 50cm from the edge of the carriageway and not within a designated parking place(double parked/obstruction)
As the vehicle was not parked how could the ticket be legal?
