I would ask them specifically if its aftermarket or genuine .
If its aftermarket could just be a rouge batch and your looking for a problem that isn't there! so common with aftermarket parts.
I remeber fitting 3 airflow meters in sucession on a P205 GTi and started to doubt my own diagnosis then fitted a genuine unit that cost £100+ more than the aftermarket unit but that £100 was worth every penny as the car ran a dream afterwards.
if the voltage was too high it would normally flag up a fault code as voltage too high.
