I bought a 206 on Saturday from a main SEAT dealer. I asked on 3 different times before placing a deposit whether the car had a full service history and I was told yes it did, but was told the garage had to find it in the book pack cupboard, so I thought fair enough.
However, when I got there on Saturday they had took a wallet and handbook from another 206 they have for sale and had just wrote the names down of the garages where my car was serviced.
Aswell as not giving me the correct wallet and service history for my car, they also held back the advisory notice from when they put the car through the MOT for me.
I have since contacted the previous owner and she told me that she handed in a full history pack to them and that the salesman phoned her up and told her that he had mis-placed it around the dealership. I really need the service history, A to see what has been done and B, to help when I sell on.
I was wonderng what course of action I should take in order to get the service history back?
