Yesterday I noticed that the engine was over running for a second longer than usual, the next journey after this the diagnostic light came on.
Im not sure but was thinking it might be a stop solenoid or something?
The other point which may or may not be a seperate problem is that sometimes when braking to a stop with the foot on the pedal the engine revs drop 200-300 less than idle speed.
I was wondering if this was related in any way?
When driving today the diagnostic light went off and the engine doesnt overun now, is it worth still getting it in the garage for the diagnostic?
