Nissan Almera 2001 1.5e - replacement radio shows "secure" - happyharrysco1

Hi there, recently the cd player stopped working in my car luckily (or so i thought) there was an almera in a local scrapyard and i got a replacement out of that. it is exactly the same stereo but unfortunately when i swapped it over and powered it up it doesn't work at all, it firstly shows "wait" on the lcd display then after a minute or so it changes to "secure" and that's all it does. does anyone know how to fix it? or what's even wrong with it?

thanks in advance for any help

Probably needs the code inputing. It's 'secure' as an anti theft system -- when stolen it renders itself secure to stop the thief using it. Unless your code was written on the side in felt tip like most scrappies do, then you'll have to contact one of the many online firms who offer the code for a few quid when you give them the full serial number of the radio.

Hope this helps
