I did try a search but most postings seem to be over 2 years old. Has anyone had any recent experience with UKCarBroker?

A long story short i was supposed to receive delivery of a new car on Monday which never happened (apparently due to the parent company suspending fleet codes - whatever that means) - i now find myself in a position where i still don't have a car. The guy i spoke to there (Kevin) seems very helpful and says all the right things but i'm still getting no positive action on getting the car delivered.

It's now got to the stage where he doesn't return calls or emails and i'm seriously considering cancelling the transaction. The stress of saving a couple of K is just not worth it. Has anyone else had any dealings with them?

Thanks

Just an update to this. Kevin from UK Car Broker did everything to help me sort this issue out but unfortunatley having 4 people in the "chain" of buying a new car caused a lot of problems and i had to pull out of the deal after 5 days of frustration.

End result - Kevin refunded my deposit and i finally got the payment back from the company involved. My advice - don't commit funds before the car is actually visible and delivered to you.

Lesson's learned - these are just my personal opinions.

1. I will never use a broker again although the one i used did their upmost. There are just too many parties involved in the transaction.

2. The other 2 parties (Dealer, Lease company etc) who will ALLWAYS remain nameless are people i will never ever do business with again - period. If you want to know any details then PM me.

3. Think VERY hard before the broker option and trying to save a few quid this way. It just was not worth the stress in my opinion.

The points above are just my own OPINION. If you are not happy with that (you know who you are) then i'm sorry - We are still allowed free speech the last time i looked and i've never mentioned the people involved in this fiasco. Funnily enough i was never asked to sign a Confidentiality agreement so i'm free to name whoever i want.

He was right not to name and shame the dealer and leasing company. We have to be very careful on forums like this: although Jaso111 is clearly genuine the other side may have a different version to the story, and we could be in trouble.

Also we have to be careful not to upset anyone who might want to advertise with us: it's the revenue that keeps the forum going
