Ford Focus C-MAX 1.6tdci/2.0tdci - DPF renewal cost - almera-inthesky

The 75000 mile service for the DPF equipped Focus C-Max diesels specifies renewal of the DPF. Does anyone know how much this costs, be it for a new or reconditioned unit? i.e. I'm trying to figure out the some of the cost of the 75000 mile service, which seems to be a biggie.

I'm not certain of the true cost but from what I remember of various forum postings, it's about £4-500. Have you tried the C-Max owners club forums?

I have seen postings on the Peugeot 407 owners forums in which owners remove the DPF, jetwash the matrix to remove the ash accumulations and refit it ...

A new, aftermarket DPF (for the 2.0 TDCI C-MAX) is £165 from here:

I don't know if this includes the various sensors, and you may need the Ford service computer to reset stuff ... not certain on these points
