x reg vw 1.6 s - alarm key fob - geordie jim

My key fob failed.New battery no go.

Checked with vw dealer £75 fob + £75 "coding". i.e. £150 min.

Checked on line and vw do not release code but friend works at nissan and it takes no more than 3mins. to re-code a nissan!

Is there any way of doing this cheaper/else were/honest and legal?
