Has anyone heard of a Vauxhall Omega 1999 2Litre automatic Station Wagon's computer going faulty?  When the car was switched on, apparently without the foot even touching the accelerator, it took off on its own, then did the same thing in reverse.

Does anyone on this site know of such a thing happening to this particular type of car?

If so, I would really appreciate any information.
