Kia Picanto - blowing the 10amp fuel pump fuse - cobra

Over the past few months after filling the fuel tank the 10 amp fuse blows in the fusebox located under the dashboard. I have had our local auto electrical engineer

check the electrical wiring and connections and he assures me there is no fault

in the car's electrical system but suggest it could be the pump, which is not easy to get at. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or has any suggestion as to what

is wrong. The car has done around 20000 kilometers and the fault is very intermittant

and only happens once in about three months but as it has destroyed about 5 or 6

fuses, I want to get it sorted before it really lets me down.

many thanks Cobra

It seems pretty obvious you need to change the pump and not the fuses.

Moved to Technical, where maybe someone will see this and be able to help.

Thread now read-only as Kay84 has started another one on the same subject.
