I am trying to service an LPG vehicle with a Lovato installation. It is simply the case of changing the filter and setting it up correctly.

My question is: where can the filter be located. I have include a link to the manual (refer to page 25 for the manual).

Also, where can I purchase the special clips that secure the hoses. And finally, where can I purchase the interogation cable for this particular set up.

With thanks

I have come across the forum http://www.lpgforum.co.uk/

Does anyone have knowledge of alternative forums that would be useful for those with LPG conversions?

Thanks

That looks like a similar system to nikki units the gas filter will need a change and get it up to temp to drain off the tar from the drain plug, better still to strip the vaporiser and clean out be carfull not to damage the diaphram.

If you strip it bleed the coolant afterwards for no air locks or they can freeze up.

Thanks for your help.

I would like to ask some questions:

1. When cleaning the vapouriser, what would I use to clean it. Would I use something like car spray?

2. The filter found within the LPG solenoid valve should be changed. Again does this need cleaning as well?

Thanks

I wonder if anyone here might be able to give some advice about servicing of LPG systems: surely someone knows!

Anyway, looking on page 12 of the manual (http://download.lovatogas.com/LOVECO%204EU/Manuals/IM_LOVECO-4EU_EN_rev0.pdf), I removed the cut off valve but gas started to escape from the system.

My question therefore is:

1. How do I diasble the system from doing this?

2. There are two electrical contact cables connected to the solenoid. Should they be removed on trying to access this item?

3. Does anyone know about any sites online that can give procedures of how to service/ repair LPG systems?

Thanks in advance.

Above is a link of the photo's of the solenoid from the engine bay. I would appreciate any advice from the more knowledgable backroomers.

I have come accross this interesting website:

Can anyone advice me with regards to the above. Also, how do I disconnect the flow of gas from the tank itself as the manual doesn't descrive this procedure.

Thanks
