FIAT 500 pop 09 plate - Fiat 500 easy to steal?? can this be correct - jlo

Hi,

My understanding was that most modern cars have a thatcham 2 immobiiser transponder and are near impossible to steal (Unless they nick your keys)

So I was a little supprised when I looked up my Mums Fiat 500 on the Thatcham link http://www.thatcham.org/nvsr/index.jsp?page=202&s=car which only gives it 2 stars??

Can this be correct? Should I advice her on some additional security?

The Ford KA(supposedly the same vehicle) has FOUR stars.

What is really strange is that the Panda gets an extra star. The Panda will have the same engine (and immobiliser), and probably the same locks. So I'm not sure how they come up with their ratings.
