the blowers on the renault scenic do not appear to be working. they go on and when the car is at about 40 you can feel it but when it slows down then there is no heat - or air con if it's on.
HELP

A fuse perhaps? Even though the blowers feel like they are working at higher speeds, it might well just be air being forced through them because of the speed.

I would agree that the air you can feel at speed is probably being forced through.

Is this a Scenic II (2003 on?). They did suffer with a common fault with the resistor pack melting. It's not an expensive part, but it is quite a job to get at.

Good advice above though. Check obvious things like fuses, and also whether the blower is dead on all of the speed settings or just one or two. Ours refused to work on position 4, but would work on 1-3, for example. It was also an intermittent fault.

not the fuse mate.....looks like the fan isn't working...got it booked in next week to check.

Just been quoted GBP530 (five hundred and thirty pounds) by Gowring City Renault in Reading to replace blower resistor pack on our 2006 Grand Scenic 1.5. Stunned. Will provide you with details on work undertaken and details on invoice tomorrow.

I guess this is a Scenic 3 . The heating system is a different set up. I would think the resistor is behind the glovebox. If indeed that is the problem.

I've no idea if it is the scenic 3 but all I can tell you is its the 2011 model 1.5 diesel DCI as you be aware Renault garages don't tell you anything, so I guess im removing the glove box lol
