Peugeot 306 xltd 1997 - keypad immobiliser - andy.g

Came to start my 1997 306 xltd with only a key pad immobiliser this morning and well its dont start.Punched in the code and soon as i typed 1st number both the green and red light stayed on.The lights radio etc still work.Some ticking noice starts(sounds like a flasher unit) and the head light sign on the dash flashes when i try to start.HELP !!!!

sorry to be a bit late just found this website but i had the same problem its a 306 1.9 xltd n the problem with mines was a lose wire in the engine bay one way i got round this before i found the problem was by fitting a push start button to by pass everthing hope it may help in a way

Had this with mine too - used to eventually start - once it is started you can disconnect the wires from the back of the keypad and it will start and stop on the key.

Peugeot dealers deny that the device can be bypassed but a local auto electrician should be able to if it really won't start.
