Hi there,

I currently have a 2.2 Diesel Espace Auto. I recently used the manual gear selection and was amazed to find that there are five gears there. Fourth and fifth gears appear to be the same though, both running the car at 2000 rpm.

Is this normal? My technical knowledge is very limited, but this seems a bit odd - I have had small Diesels in the past that drop to quite a low rpm.
