As anybody noticed the advert on television from a well known window replacer where the car runs over a pothole an receives a chip and a large crack but when they come to repair it it has changed into a small stone chip and every body lives happy ever after, if only life was so simple.

I have such a chip in my windscreen and was going to ring the company tomorrow.

Given I was expecting it to be straight forward, is there something I should know?

I doubt it, I had a chip done on my Maxi last year, completely painless and as I was fully comp didn't cost me anything either.

Think the advert was to show what could happen if you didn't get them out...
